The concept itself is very cute and funny, with some of the ponies playing a nice homage to teh source material, most aprticularly Rarity, Applejack and Pinkei (Fluttershy looks cute too
The puic, as a whole, could benefit from some more details; it feels like tehre's a lot of space that could be of better use, while now it seems empty (basically the entir area outside the couch feels like a void).
It's a very nice pic, don't get me wrong, but you asked for tips and I believe what I've written above could help make this an even better drawing.
The reason for no cutie marks is really because I wanted them to be the filly forms, as for Applejack missing both the freckles and the bands...
Its been too long ago, I guess I have forgotten it, but I dont know what my brain was trying to do back then.
I have seen what you mean with a void too, I really suck at backgrounds, so I didnt really know what to put in there, I learned a lot since this piece but I still have a lot to learn.

It wasnt until my last 3 or 4 drawings that I started paying attention to what I was shading really.
